Download the Dibs app from the App Store, tap Get Started, and sign up with your email address. You can register as a buyer, seller, or runner — you can use all three roles with a single account.

On the login screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

Go to More → Profile in the app to update your contact details. For security reasons, email changes require re-verification. If you're unable to update it yourself, contact support.

To permanently delete your account, open the Dibs app and go to More → Delete Account. You’ll confirm the request in-app, and verified requests are processed within 30 days. Note that any pending payouts or unresolved orders may need to be cleared before deletion can proceed.

Buying

Browse listings from sellers in your area. When you find something you want, add it to your cart, enter your delivery address, and check out. A local runner will pick up the item from the seller and bring it to you — usually same day.

You can track your delivery in real time on the map inside the app.

Dibs operates in local neighborhoods — available listings and runners are matched to your delivery address automatically. If there are no available runners in your area, you'll see a message at checkout. We're expanding to new areas regularly.

Go to Orders → [your order] → Request Return within 24 hours of delivery. Select the reason (e.g. "Not as described"), and a runner will be dispatched to collect the item and return it to the seller. You'll receive a full refund once the return is completed.

Yes, you can cancel before a runner has been assigned. Once a runner accepts the job, cancellation is no longer available — but you can still request a return after delivery.

To cancel, go to Orders → [your order] → Cancel Order.

Selling

Tap Create Listing from your seller home screen. Add photos, a title, description, price, and select the item's size for delivery (small, medium, large, or bulky). Publish it and your item goes live immediately.

You can also paste a Facebook Marketplace listing URL to auto-fill the details.

Dibs charges a 10% platform fee on the item price. The delivery fee is paid separately by the buyer. There are no monthly fees or listing fees — you only pay when you sell.

A strike is issued when a verified buyer complaint is upheld — for example, an item that was significantly not as described or damaged. You receive a warning at 1 and 2 strikes. At 3 strikes, your seller account is permanently suspended.

To dispute a strike, contact support with details about the order.

When a runner arrives at your door, they'll show you their pickup code. Verify it matches the code shown in your order detail screen, then hand over the item. This confirms the handoff and starts the delivery timer.

Delivery & Runners

Sign up or log in, then go to More → Switch to Runner. Complete your runner profile by adding your vehicle type and payment details. Once verified, you'll start seeing available jobs near you.

Large or bulky deliveries require vehicle verification — upload your vehicle photos for review.

Every delivery uses a 6-digit confirmation code to verify handoffs:

  • Pickup: The seller shows the runner a code to confirm item handoff.
  • Delivery: The buyer shows the runner a code to confirm receipt.

Codes are visible in the order detail screen for each party. Never share your code with anyone other than the person handing off or receiving.

Check the live tracking map in the app for your runner's current location and estimated arrival. If the order appears stuck with no movement for over 30 minutes, tap Get Help on the order screen or contact support with your order number.

Runners keep 100% of the delivery fee. Fees start at $5.49 base + $0.48/km, with size surcharges for larger items. The exact payout is shown before you accept each job — no surprises.

Payments & Payouts

Dibs accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) as well as Apple Pay. Payments are processed securely through Stripe — we never store your card details.

Earnings are held for a short settlement period after delivery is confirmed, then released to your connected Stripe account. Typical transfer time to your bank is 1–2 business days once released. You can view your full earnings history under More → Payout Details.

Go to More → Payout Details and tap Connect with Stripe. You'll complete a short onboarding where you provide your banking details. Once connected, all future earnings deposit directly to your bank account.

If an order fails after payment, a full refund is issued automatically to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days depending on your bank.

If you don't see a refund after 5 days, contact support with your order number and we'll investigate immediately.
